Travel information

 

Brijuni islands are situated seven kilometers westward of the Istrian tourist and harbour town of Pula well known for its Roman Arena (see map at http://www.placesonline.com/europe/croatia/pula/map.asp ).

Pula can be reached by air (Pula International Airport serves major European and domestic destinations during summer season, see http://www.airport-pula.com/), train (from Ljubljana or Trieste), boat and road (for distances click http://www.brijuni.hr/en/Home.aspx?PageID=17 ). Those travelling by car along the Istrian motorway should take the road exit Vodnjan/NP Brijuni few kilometers before Pula and drive on to Fažana.

Brijuni islands are accessed by ferry from the small coastal village Fažana facing the main island  Veliki Brijun (ferry timetable available at http://www.brijuni.hr/en/Home.aspx?PageID=18 ) For Brijuni hotel guests the ferry service is free of charge and unlimited.  Note that the parking lots of the Brijuni Islands Hotels are located near the ferry pier and Tourist Information Office in Fažana.
